SAN DIEGO, CA — March 30, 2026 — The Indian Gaming Association is bringing a renewed focus on health, balance, and leadership wellness to the 2026 Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention, taking place this week at the San Diego Convention Center.
As part of this year’s programming, IGA is hosting a series of health and wellness sessions led by renowned wellness expert Dawn Manuelito, designed to support tribal leaders, professionals, and industry partners in maintaining personal well-being while carrying forward the important work of Indian Country.
The sessions begin on Wednesday morning, April 1, 2026, at 7:00 am PT with “Balance Before Business: Morning Yoga at IGA26,” offering a guided experience focused on breath, mobility, and mental clarity. Attendees will start their day grounded and energized, preparing for the demands of the tradeshow floor.
On Thursday, April 2, participants can join “Power Hour: Morning Group Fitness Session,” a lively and engaging event that combines physical activity with practical discussion on workplace wellness, leadership health, and sustainable performance.
Additionally, starting at 2:00 pm, Manuelito will present ‘Indigenous Wisdom, Modern Wellness: A New Model for Tribal Organizations” on the Chairman’s Lounge Stage, booth 1050, highlighting how traditional values and modern wellness practices can work together to enhance leadership, employee well-being, and organizational resilience.
Manuelito, a Diné (Navajo) wellness leader, speaker, and founder of Dawn Manuelito Health and Wellness Systems, has dedicated her work to integrating Indigenous knowledge with contemporary health practices. Her approach emphasizes holistic wellbeing rooted in cultural identity, balance, and community strength.
Chairman David Z. Bean emphasized the importance of incorporating wellness into the broader mission of tribal leadership and economic development.
“Indian Country has always understood that strength begins with balance,” said Chairman Bean. “As we come together this week to protect our sovereignty and advance our industry, we also recognize the importance of taking care of ourselves, our leaders, and our people. These wellness sessions reflect who we are as tribal nations, grounded in tradition, focused on the future.”
Chairman Bean added, “Dawn brings forward a powerful message that connects our cultural teachings with the realities of leadership today. When we invest in our health and wellbeing, we strengthen our ability to lead, to serve, and to carry forward the work entrusted to us.”
These sessions are open to tradeshow attendees and are part of IGA’s continued commitment to supporting not only the economic strength of tribal gaming but also the well-being of the people who lead and sustain it.
The 2026 Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention continues through April 2, bringing together tribal leaders, policymakers, and industry professionals from across the country to address key issues, including legislative priorities, cybersecurity, and the growing threat of illegal prediction markets.
