The Indian Gaming Association (IGA) is the leading national organization representing Tribal
government gaming enterprises and advocating for Tribal sovereignty, economic development,
and self-sufficiency. Through education, legislative advocacy, networking, and leadership
development, IGA supports Tribal Nations and the continued success of Indian gaming
throughout the United States.

IGA is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and technology-savvy Receptionist & Office
Operations Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for Tribal leaders, members,
government officials, industry partners, and visitors in our Capitol Hill headquarters in
Washington, D.C. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys creating exceptional guest
experiences, supporting executive leadership, and leveraging technology to keep an organization
running efficiently. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting IGA’s mission
while gaining exposure to national Tribal leadership, policy initiatives, conferences, and industry
events.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for Tribal leaders and representatives, members,
    government officials, industry partners, and visitors.
  • Provide front desk reception, answer and route calls, emails, and inquiries, and maintain a
    welcoming, professional, and culturally respectful office environment.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, shipments, and correspondence, including routing
    time-sensitive communications.
  • Prepare, proofread, format, copy, scan, file, and distribute documents and routine
    communications.
  • Provide administrative support to staff, leadership, and remote employees.
  • Maintain and update contact records, mailing lists, and organizational data while ensuring
    accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Generate reports as requested and respond to information requests.
  • Support office technology, telecommunications, virtual meeting platforms, and basic
    troubleshooting.
  • Assist with office operations, including inventory, supplies, equipment maintenance,
    vendor coordination, and service records.
  • Support conference, meeting, and event planning, attendee communications, onsite
    operations, and follow-up activities.
    Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education, training,
    certifications, and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in office administration, reception, executive
    support, customer service, member services, nonprofit, association, Tribal government, or
    a related professional environment.
  • Experience supporting conferences, events, membership organizations, or executive
    leadership preferred; experience with Tribal governments or Native organizations is a
    plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive,
    SharePoint), CRM and membership databases, virtual meeting platforms (Zoom,
    Microsoft Teams, Webex), and other office technologies.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage
    multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and handle confidential information with
    discretion.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong customer
    service orientation and the ability to interact professionally with Tribal leaders, members,
    government officials, partners, vendors, consultants, and staff.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work
    independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, adaptable, and service-oriented, with an interest in supporting the mission of the
    Indian Gaming Association and a commitment to continuous learning and process
    improvement. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This is a full-time, salaried position. The salary range is $60,000 – $68,000 per year
commensurate with experience. The Indian Gaming Association offers a competitive benefits
