RE: NIGC Adopts Annual Adjustment for Fee Rates and Fingerprint Fees

Date: October 30, 2024

On October 28, 2024, the National Indian Gaming Commission (“NIGC”) published in the Federal Register its adoption of an adjustment to the annual fee rates and fingerprint processing fee. The fee rates have not changed from the November 2023 rates. This maintains the current rates of 0.00% for tier 1 and 0.08% for tier 2. Further, if a tribe has a certificate of self-regulation, the fee rate on Class II revenue shall be 0.04%.  The NIGC also decreased the fingerprint processing fee by $9.00 to an updated amount of $44.00 per card.

Both the annual fee rates and the fingerprint processing fee will become effective on November 1, 2024, and shall remain effective until the NIGC adopts new rates. This notice, as published in the Federal Register, may be found here:    https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2024-10-28/pdf/2024-24968.pdf.
